In 2011 Stevenson Laboratory completed a 3 year contract supplying onsite testing facilities to HEB Construction. The contract required an onsite laboratory building to be shifted onto site, dedicated staff and equipment to be supplied and testing/ reporting turn-a-round of 11/2 weeks. As part of this project a dedicated senior technician supervised a team of up to 10 lab technicians at any one time. Hand Augers, Scala Penetration, Hand Held Shear Vane, Nuclear Densometer Densities, and Water Content testing were all completed onsite and provided to the customer instantly. This ensured that delays to construction were minimised.

Project Description:

The SH18 Hobsonville Deviation Motorway connects the Northwestern Motorway (SH16) to the Greenhithe Deviation Motorway and Upper Harbour Bridge to form the new Upper Harbour Motorway (SH18) and a significant part of the Western Ring Route.
